Ogmore Vale RFC travelled to Fall Bay this weekend looking to get back to winning ways after a narrow loss last week away to Tonna RFC. The game started slowly, poor defence from Ogmore allowed the home side to take the lead 5-0.
Ogmore lacked creativity throughout the game and their only scores came through the boot of captain Karl Jones with the score 8-6 to Fall Bay at Half Time.
Fall Bay were reduced to 14 men after a red card was shown for ill-discipline, this was what Ogmore Vale needed but unfortunately were unable to capitalise on this and it was the home team to leave the field with all four points. A disappointing outing for the men in black and amber. Final score Fall Bay RFC 22-6 Ogmore Vale RFC.
Next week see’s Ogmore Vale host their locals. Pontycymmer RFC head to Ogmore park in the first of three fixtures due to commence this season. First fixture is in the second round of the WRU shield.
