This weekend Ogmore Vale RFC travelled to Tonna RFC in a re arranged league fixture due to it previously being called off due to bad weather. Ogmore Vale travelled in confident spirit after seeing them win the last three games in both league and cup.
It wasn’t to be for the travelling side as the home side stole all 4 points in a game which didn’t anticipate much. A final score of 6-3 to Tonna RFC was the outcome, a few missed opportunities towards the final whistle proved costly for Ogmore Vale RFC.
Speaking after the game Head Coach Mike James stated he was pleased with some aspects of the game but plenty to work on to make sure close games like these are won. Set piece and defence were positives as well as the back three. Thomas Dunn who slipped into the full back role for this weekend’s fixture had a game to remember as he attacked and defended well at the back.
Next week Ogmore Vale RFC travel once again to Fall Bay where they will hope to recover from this loss and take all points on offer.
