This weekend Ogmore Vale RFC travelled to Penybanc RFC in high spirits after their successful cup round last week. It was a day for the away side to forget, the home side took the lead early on and there was no looking back from there.
Ogmore Vale battled hard throughout but were unable to keep the home side from crossing the line on more than one occasion. A weakened Ogmore Team which sore forwards play in the backline due to injuries was not what Head Coach Mike James was hoping for but a galvanising team effort throughout, although in defeat. Final score Penybanc RFC 39-0 Ogmore Vale RFC.
Next fixture to be played is on the 07/12/2019 where Ogmore Vale RFC will travel east to play Hollybush RFC in the third round of the WRU Shield. OVRFC will hope to continue with the winning streak in the cup and go into the fourth-round draw.
