The last home game of the season at Ogmore Park where Cwmgwrach RFC were the visitors. It was to be an emotional day with Forwards coach and longtime veteran Gavin Beckey deciding to hang up his boots after this one, a guard of honour was in place for him to enter the field along with match Mascot Callum and also retiring international veteran Steve Lyons. The emotional start however didnt help the team on the field a very dominating scrum and lineout from Cwgwrach put Ogmore on the back foot and it wasnt long before they found themselves behind. Two well worked tries by Cwmgwrach as they dominated the opening 15 mins but their kicker was not able to convert them 10-0. Soon after this period Ogmore seemed to be back in their stride with strong runs Karl Jones and Jamie Waymouth Ogmore kept going over the gain line. Ogmore fly-half Mike James seemed to be the catlyst for a period dominance as Ogmore constantly found themselves in the oposition 22m and it was long before Jamie Waymouth crashed through the defence only then to be held up over the line. Penalty kicked by Karl Jones put Ogmore on the score board and then it wasnt long before Jamie Waymouth finaly got the try he had been working hard for. Karl Jones then slotted the conversion and another penalty to make the score 13-10 going into Half-time.
The second half started pretty much as the first and Ogmore quickly found themselves behind again. This then seemed to unravel Ogmore who went further behind after Cwmgwrach scored another try and a penalty. Ogmore could not recover and the game ended 13-25 to the visitors. The club would like to thank Gavin Beckey and Steven Lyons for all they have done for the club.
